Rangpur

Rangpur is a district under Rangpur Division in Northern part of Bangladesh. The name Pangpur has come from RangoPur. Main tourist spots in Rangpur are Tajhat Palace, Payrabanda Royal Palace and many others. The division has 8 Districts. They are Rangpur, Dinajpur, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Nilphamari, Panchagarh,Thakurgaon, Lalmonirhat etc. This division became Bangladesh’s seventh division on January 25, 2010. Commander Raja Man Singh conquered this area in 1575 until 1686 and it was fully integrated into the Mughal Empire.
